If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I’m using Broadscope and am having troubles getting the posts to display how I’d like.
I was wondering if it’s possible to display one image in the “big featured area” (right below the menu) while displaying a different image as the thumbnail which gets used inside the Tag and Category pages?
Ex. I am using a shortened “glow.png” image and for the “big featured area” but would like to display a picture of a woman for the thumbnail. Here you can see my desired look = http://med-websolutions.com/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -and-thighs/
However, here http://med-websolutions.com/category/casas-blogs/arm-lift/ I would like to change that thumbnail to a picture of a woman rather than the “glow.png”
Dow this make sense and is it possible?
I think your only option is to re-upload different thumbnails after you’ve added the main image. What happens when wordpress uploads an image is that it creates a couple different sizes of the image and then saves them all in the designated image folder (depending on your settings). The theme then calls for those different sizes for the different areas, thumbnail size or featured image size etc.
So what you can do is ftp to your sites image folder and pull down the multiple sizes, then change the images to what you want and re-upload with the same names.
Its definitely not ideal if you are doing lots of these all the time, but it will work if you are doing a few at once that will last a while.
