Hi, I have searched the forum but can not find the answer to the following, sorry I am new to this theme and just a novice – I do not know PHP or HTML but get around by copy & paste:

    Here is the scenario:

I build a new page and part of that page includes a large element (Lets say a Testimonials Element, populated with content and pictures) that becomes so large it should be moved to another page . The other page already has content so I wish to keep it and just move the element from one page to another.

I have the “Duplicate Post” plugin so I know I could duplicate the page, delete the Elements I do not want to keep and then save it as a template. However I then want to take that part and ADD it to an existing page.

    Any ideas?

p.s. How do I also login to this forum and find my posts?

    Hi Heathcliffe,

There are two ways you could do this. The first is to just save that page as a Template in the upper right hand corner of the advanced layout editor.

Then load the whole page into your new page using the same template menu and delete the extra elements.

If you are worried about adding too much then create a new page first to load the template into (all through the advanced layout editor) and then delete the elements you don’t want and re-save just the element as a template once again.

Now when you go to the new home for that element you can load it into the page by clicking on the template and it will just be loaded in.

    Regards,

    Devin

Wow, I never expected that. Sorry, user error. I had done exactly as you described but when I clicked Load Template it loaded so fast I could not tell, and because I was basically duplicating what was already on the page, I had not realised I now had two of the same.

    Loving the theme, thanks Devin.

What about my p.s. Question? about once logged into this support forum, how do you get to your profile? I have saved a bookmark /support/profile/heathcliffe is that the only way to get to it ?

Yes, that is correct. The tracking for users is pretty limited at the moment so checking back within a day is your best method. We have been massively swamped lately so our normal under 24 hours response time hasn’t been as accurate depending on the weekday and current queue.

    Regards,

    Devin
