Strugling to upload my work images, not sure if I should use gallery or protfolio page for this, also images that I upload are displayed in different sizes on the page overlaping each other..April 23, 2013 at 8:23 pm #115404
First, take a look at the documentation that came with your download from Themeforest. That will walk you through the basics of using the theme.
Next, if you can point out what feature/display style you want from the theme demo we can assist you in creating that if you are still having issues.

I would like to have my image galery displayed as bigger images two in a row withouth posibility clicking and opening them biger. if that makes any sence.. my appologies for stupid questions here. it is probably something very basicApril 30, 2013 at 10:05 am #115406
Sounds like you want to use a portfolio (http://www.kriesi.at/themes/coalition/#portfolio). If you are using the One Page Portfolio style of Coalition, then you would go to your One Page Portfolio Section of the theme options and in the Portfolio element choose 2 columns and select the portfolio item categories.
If however you just want to do something more simple, you could use 2 shortcodes to make 2 columns that are 50% wide. Then just add your images inside the shortcodes and make sure they have no links and are the size you want.
Here are the shortcodes already created:
[one_half first]Content for 1/2 Column here[/one_half]
[one_half]Content for 1/2 Column here[/one_half]

Hi Devin,Im using it as a “normal” theme and portfolio is not there somehow. What can I do? Thank youMay 19, 2013 at 7:15 am #115408
Personally I’d use the gallery shortcode: http://codex.wordpress.org/Gallery_Shortcode to embed the images into a page/post. The portfolio doesn’t make sense for simple gallery because you’d need to create a portfolio entry for each image. If you’ve problems with the thumbnails (overlapping, etc.) try to use a different thumbnail size – i.e.:
and regenerate the thumbnails with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/May 31, 2013 at 5:52 pm #115409
Thank you for recomendations in regards of using the gallery instead of portfolio. Devin helped me to sort out the gallery and now im using default gallery, but would want to have a bigger picture thumbnails instead and to have three pictures in a row instead of seven. Can it be done woth the help of this shortcode that you posted? If so where should I insert it?

First go to Settings > Media, set the Medium size to 200 x 150. Regenerate the thumbnails using this plugin, http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/, activate then go to Tools > Regen. Thumbnails. Edit the page insert the shortcode Dude gave you.
This will give you a 3 column gallery.
