    Hi june_c21,

    Your best option for #1 would be to find a plugin that allows you to add a search field.

    For #2, Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

    .main_menu {
    top: 15px;
    }
    #header .container {
    padding-bottom: 10px;
    }
    #header {
    margin-bottom: 5px;
    }

    This will get you started but it still may need tweaks for the responsive display and for any cross browser tweaks. Those will need to be done by you if their are any.

    Hi,

    Just add this on your custom.css

    #searchform {
    display: none;
    }

    hi,

    i want to retain the search form and at the same time move up the navigation line under home .

    #117110

    Hi,

    1> You can try this CSS about the search bar. play with those two numbers to position it

    #top #searchform {
    position: absolute !important;
    float: initial !important;
    width: initial !important;
    top: -95px;
    left: -460px;
    z-index: 3333 !important;
    }

    2> You need to install Chrome Developer Tools for the Chrome browser and you can easily learn in half hour how to manipulate the whole page and then save it in Quick Css .

    off topic

    Your logo is too big so when it shrinks to size for smartphones, the pinkish text on the right and the left shrinks along with the image , and while the logo remains , the writing on the sides becomes a blur.

    Thanks,

    Nick

    something is wrong with this search form

    Code:
    #searchform{
    position: relative;
    float: left;
    margin:0;
    width:100px;
    }

    #searchsubmit {
    border: medium none;
    cursor: pointer;
    display: block;
    height: 37px;
    outline: none;
    padding: 0;
    position: absolute;
    right: 0px;
    text-indent: -9999px;
    top: 0px;
    width: 37px;
    z-index: 2;
    margin:0;
    -moz-border-radius: 0px; -webkit-border-radius:0px; border-radius:0px;
    background-image: url(../images/layout/icon-search.png);
    background-position: center center;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    }

    i just checked , my footer also got the search form … weird …..

    Hi,

    Did you add Nick’s code? Experiment with the top and left position value.

    #top #searchform {
    position: absolute !important;
    float: initial !important;
    width: initial !important;
    top: -95px;
    left: -460px;
    z-index: 3333 !important;
    }

    Please put the code on your Quick CSS or custom.css. I don’t see any search form in the footer area when visiting this link http://www.jnmsolution.com/furniture/.

    Thanks i manage to move the search button but how to squeeze the menu navigation wording … the width between the menu is big . how to do that ?

    thanks

    #117115

    Hi,

    You managed to move the search box only for monitors but not for tablets and smartphones, where it is off the screen.

    Please re-read what i wrote about your logo, this is how it looks on iphones and other smartphones http://www.clipular.com/c?5869106=K1FM9K6wjGGHt01Jpesm5hw-Um8&f=.png

    You are using nivo slider which doesn’t work on mobile phones or tablets. which will not make your website usable by 50% of visitors who use smartphones/tablets.

    Thanks,

    Nick

    hi ,

    it doesn’t matter as my focus is not on iphone or other smartphone or tablet . i just want the best view on pc .

    how to shift the navigation menu so that each menu gap won’t be so big ?

    #117117

    Hi,

    You can adjust the gap using this

    .main_menu ul:first-child > li > a {
    margin-left: 10px;
    }

    Adjust the value.

    btw , under http://www.jnmsolution.com/furniture/?page_id=31

    how to change the font size of title “sofa and arm chair ” to smaller size and everything shift up ?

    thanks in advance

    #117119

    Hi,

    You can use this to change the font size.

    .page-title.meta-color {
    font-size: 15px;
    padding-bottom: 0;
    }

    And this to decrease the padding and shift the content up.

    .title_container {
    padding-bottom: 15px;
    }

    Regards,

    Ismael
