    Hi, I just purchased newscast and I can’t seem to get the the same lay-out as your theme showing me as in the example:

    http://themeforest.net/item/newscast-4-in-1-wordpress-magazine-and-blog/full_screen_preview/91058

    instead of all the 5 animations (pictures) on the frontpage, I see only one with no picture, and only a moving gif, and this is referring to the preload.gif, for all the themes.

    What am I doing wrong?

    PS. It seems the same problem as here ! Also running on WP3.1? or do I have to downgrade ?

    but I cant even see the images, only a moving gif preload.gif from the skins.

    I tried everything now, from mac os, to windows, downgrading of WP but no luck!. Your theme just doesn’t work as advertised for me.

    We’ll release an update in the next few days to make the theme WP3.1 compatible. For now there are two “hacks” which will get it to work.

    1) A temporarily fix is to use jquery 1.4.2 for now. To implement it open up functions.php and add following code at the very bottom:

    function jquery_initialise()
    {

    #DEREGISTER DEFAULT JQUERY INCLUDES
    wp_deregister_script('jquery');

    #LOAD THE GOOGLE API JQUERY INCLUDES
    wp_register_script('jquery', 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js', false, '1.4.2', false);

    #REGISTER CUSTOM JQUERY INCLUDES
    wp_enqueue_script('jquery');

    }

    #INITIALISE JQUERY LIBRARY
    add_action('init', 'jquery_initialise');

    2) The lightbox needs an update – have a look at this thread: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/wp-31-breaks-lightbox

    To add images to the slider you must use the featured image option which can be found in your post/page editor (right sidebar at the bottom – a field called “Featured Image” and a link “Set featured image”). Just upload an image to your media gallery and click on “set featured image”.
