Hello, you helped me remove an H1 setting from the logo on the homepage in a different ticket. Can you please let me know how I can remove the H1 marking for page names? I have hidden the page name section on each page (for example, "Counseling" page does not say "Counseling" at the top because I hid that section) and I have manually marked the <h1></h1> text I want.

An SEO tool I'm using is letting me know there are too many H1s on my pages because the page names are marked H1 as well as the words I manually marked as such. How can I remove the automatic H1s for page names?

I also had this question. Simply change the h1 tags to h2.

Hi,

If you want to remove some h1 tags you can edit functions.php and find this code

echo avia_title(array('class'=>'portfolio-title', 'html' => "<div class='{class} title_container'><h1 class='main-title'>{title}</h1></div>"), $id);

Avia theme is using a special functional called avia_title to render page titles. You can change the h1 tag to something else or remove it completely.

Hello, I am using the Choices theme and am unable to find this code in framework>php>function-set-avia-frontend.php

Can you please let me know what code to change in the Choices theme?

Hi Syl,

There are two functions in the functions-choices.php file you will need to edit. Search for:
```
//advanced title + breadcrumb function
if(!function_exists('avia_title'))
```
Within that, you can change the h1 to h2 in the $defaults array so that the default is h2. The next function just below this is:
function avia_small_title()
You can do the same thing there, just change the 1 to a 2 at the start and end of the header tag.
