I have tried for quite a while but cannot find where I can change the texts of “Hello and welcome stranger! This is propulsion, a responsive business portfolio and eCommerce Theme”, can you help me?
Also, I am wondering can I remove the top bar for login & top banner? My client does not want the website look too commercial. Will this remove affect other parts of the website? I want to have a safe way to do it.

1) You can hide this area with following code:
I’d add the css code to css/custom.css.
2) You can change the notification bar text with the Propulsion option panel (I think it’s the “theme options” tab).January 29, 2012 at 1:07 pm #61934
I am also having the same problem and your reply doesn’t help – too vague. Please tell me exactly where to look as I can’t use my site as it stands ThanksJanuary 29, 2012 at 1:18 pm #61935
On the “Theme Options” page you can find an option “Top Banner Message”. Delete or change the default text. If the field is empty the bar won’t appear…January 29, 2012 at 1:49 pm #61936
That changes the text in the top banner/band/strip but what I want to do is change the text that you have dropped in – currently “Hello and welcome stranger! This is propulsion, a responsive business portfolio and eCommerce Theme” to my own text. Where do I set this please? I am ok with the other bits – I think. ThanksJanuary 29, 2012 at 2:16 pm #61937
This text is a callout/hero text. You can use dynamic templates & the “Text Area / Callout / Quotes” element to add this text to your page or on pages without dynamic templates use the “Hero Text” option field to hide/show this area. The excerpt field content is used as hero text.January 29, 2012 at 4:55 pm #61938
When I first set the site up I clicked on ‘import dummy text’ and have been changing everything – the text at the top (“Hello and welcome stranger! This is propulsion, a responsive business portfolio and eCommerce Theme”) is the only bit I can’t change. On the page where it occurs the ‘hero text’ is set to not display – so where is the text coming from? If I write somthing in that page’s ‘hero text’ space it doesn’t overwrite it…January 29, 2012 at 6:05 pm #61939
Go to Propulsion > Template Builder > select the “FrontPage” template and click on the arrow (located on the right side) of the “Text Area / Callout / Quotes” bar/element. The options for this element will be displayed – among them an option field (textarea with the caption “The text message that should be displayed”) which contains the text.January 29, 2012 at 10:44 pm #61940January 30, 2012 at 8:50 am #61941
