Dear,
I just download the Newscast theme. I wrote a post (put a title in there and a photo) the photo is 700px x 320px.
I set the slidebar to show the category where this post is a part of. Now on the mainpage in the slidebar it shows the title but it doesn't show the photo.
How do I get it to show the photo. Did I miss a step?
Please help!

Hey,
to set a slider and preview image you need to use the "Set featured image" link under the post thumbnail options which can be found on the right side of your post/page editor. A popup will open - choose an image and click on "set as featured image". I made a screenshot:
