    This isn’t working for me.

    [sidebar_tab icon='client.png' title="Client sampling"]

    [widget widget_name="avia_portfoliobox" widget_class_name="newsbox" title="Clients" count="50" cat="Clients" excerpt="show title only"]

    [/sidebar_tab]

Also, what file contains the code for the contact form? I want to change the text that says “Send us mail” above the contact input fields. I tried looking using Firebug, but it didn’t show me the file name.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay. ‘Send us mail’ can be found on line 10 of contact-form.php in the /includes/ directory.

    Checking the widget now.

    Thanks,

    Nick

Thanks Nick. If you have any information on the widget that would be great.

    Hey John,

The category needs to be the ID of the portfolio category not its slug name or actual name. You can find the category ID by clicking on the subheading “Portfolio Categories” under Portfolio Items. Then you can either hover over the Category name and view the URL that it is linking to or just click on the Category. In that URL is tag_ID=## where ## is the ID number for that category.

Its a bit of an extra step but it ensures that even if the name of the category changes or its slug changes the widget continues to work properly.

    Regards,

    Devin

Devin, thanks for the explanation. Can I get a translation of what your describing :) I’m confused…on the code I pasted above I would replace cat=”Clients” and use the tag_ID=## i.e. cat=”tag_ID=##” ?

    Thanks for the help!

    Hi,

If you go to back-end and open up Posts > Categories, you would see when clicking on categories as though to edit them, the url will look something like

    your-domain.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?action=edit&taxonomy=category&tag_ID=14&post_type=post

Look for the part that’s tag_ID=, and that’s the id number that corresponds to that particular category. Now you just stick the ID back into the shortcode like:

    [sidebar_tab icon='client.png' title="Client sampling"]
    [widget widget_name="avia_portfoliobox" widget_class_name="newsbox" title="Clients" count="50" cat="14" excerpt="show title only"]
    [/sidebar_tab]

    (I only added cat=”14″ above)

    Thanks,

    Nick
