Also the galleries I had in my portfolio will no longer work, help.

I am running theme 1.2.1, i downloaded it lat week and I have looked at which theme is active and it is 1.2.1.

That's a little odd! To check your version I look at the style.css located on your site here: http://brooklynphotography.info/wp-content/themes/avisio/style.css which shows 1.1. Maybe the issue is related to that. Just to be sure there wasn't an issue when uploading the new theme, I would recommend re-uploading the updated theme files to your host.
Can you try going to your Permalink settings and re-saving the options you have selected there. There was an issue for some users when upgrading which had to do with a change in the url structure and wordpress.
If you are still having issues, try disabling any additional plugins that you might have running. If the issue is resolved, you can re-enable them one by one to find the plugin that is causing the conflicts.
