    Hello,

    I want to insert a plugin into front page manually.. what php file should I use to insert the plugin? The thing that i would like to do is, I will add a third party ‘brand slider’ just above the footer of the front page. I don’t want the plugin to appear on other pages, so probably i shouldn’t use page.php file, should I?

    Could you please describe how to add new plugin code into front page manually as i described?

    Thanks

    Hey cihas!

    Can you please post the code that you are going to use here?

    You can insert it on page.php then use the conditional is_home: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/is_home

    Hi Ismael,

    The code is

    <?php if( function_exists(‘cyclone_slider’) ) cyclone_slider(‘our-brands’); ?>

    I’ve tried the code below on page.php folder. It did not work.

    <?php if (is_home()) : ?>
    <?php if( function_exists(‘cyclone_slider’) ) cyclone_slider(‘our-brands’); ?>
    <?php endif; ?>

    Also tried

    <?php if (is_front_page()) : ?>
    <?php if( function_exists(‘cyclone_slider’) ) cyclone_slider(‘our-brands’); ?>
    <?php endif; ?>

    I added these codes just before <!–end container–>

    still not working…

    Hi!

    Try testing with some basic PHP code to see if the conditional is working:

    <?php if (is_home()) : ?>
    <?php echo "is home."; ?>
    <?php if( function_exists(‘cyclone_slider’) ) cyclone_slider(‘our-brands’); ?>
    <?php endif; ?>

    If it prints “is home”, then you should check to see if that cyclone_slider function really exists.

    Best regards,
    Josue
