    Any way to place a direct link in the Iconbox?

    Hey,

    have you tried something like:

    [iconbox title="test" icon="clipboard.png"]<a href="google.com">Google</a>[/iconbox]

    Thanks for the reply, but I wanted to link the entire box (especially the title) to an internal page on the site. Here is what I have in the columns on the homepage:

    [iconbox title=”Identity Branding” icon=”people.png”]We’ll work with you to uncover and define your story and from there we’ll craft your public identity. Get Started.[/iconbox]

    How can I put an link over the entire box?

    Try:

    <a href="http://redbottlecreative.redbottledev.com/branding">[iconbox title="Identity Branding" icon="people.png"]We’ll work with you to uncover and define your story and from there we’ll craft your public identity.Get Started.[/iconbox]</a>

    That worked, except now all of the text is the link color and underlined on scroll over. We’re getting close!

    Can you post a link to your website please where you use the shortcode. I’ll investigate the css.

    Ok add following css code to custom.css located in the folder “css”:

    .iconbox a, .iconbox a:hover{
    text-decoration: none;
    color: #777;
    }

    #44450

    Ok. I did that and still no change. Hmm..

    #44451

    There we go. I had to add:

    .iconbox a{

    text-decoration: none;

    color: #777;

    }

    To custom.css

    I had a small typo – I corrected the code. You should include the hover state too.

    Uh oh. I tested on Safari and Firefox (I was using Chrome) and the problem is back on those browsers.

    Hey,

    I can’t reproduce the problem – it looks fine for me.

    Maybe James can reproduce the problem with his Mac. Try to add the hover code too like:

    .iconbox a, .iconbox a:hover{
    text-decoration: none;
    color: #777;
    }

    #44457

    I’ve even tried:

    .iconbox a, .iconbox_content, .iconbox a:hover, .iconbox_content:hover{

    text-decoration: none;

    color: #777;

    }

    That fixed the issue in Firefox and changed the color of the text in Safari – but in Safari on hover the red underline still shows up.

    #44458

    I think I found the problem. Try:

    .iconbox a, .iconbox a:hover, a .iconbox, a:hover .iconbox, .iconbox, .iconbox:hover{
    text-decoration: none;
    color: #777;
    }

    Now all possible combinations like link within iconbox, link as iconbox and link around icon box should have the same style.

    unfortunately, the red underline still shows up in Safari. Im not sure about IE9 – but chrome and firefox are good to go.
