Well into the process of the framework of my site, I tried it in both IE and Firefox and nearly all the images which are working fine in Safari are completely missing. What compatibility issues do I need to correct so that the site is consistent across all the major browsers?

Hi,
This issue does not occur with me when the theme comes out of the box, did you make any modifications or have you installed any plugins? Try disabling your plugins one by one and see if they interfere.

I don't have any plugins installed.... at all. That does not seem to be a factor. The issue is persistent still with both Firefox & IE. At this point the theme is all but useless if 66% of all browsers cannot view it properly.
