    Hello,

    I have the same problem discussed here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/ie-conflict-white-dots-on-featured-image

    White dots apear on featured images ONLY with Internet Explorer.

    Is Kriesi also going to update Newscast in order to fix this? :)

    Kind regards.

    Hey,

    I’m not sure which version of Newscast you use but the latest update should fix the problem.

    Hi Dude, thanks for the reply.

    I’m using version 2.0.2 which is the latest I believe.

    Hey,

    I’ll report it to Kriesi.

    Thanks :D

    White dots appear more or less depending on the picture.

    Here is a good example of the problem with many dots:

    I’ll be around here ;)

    Hello,

    Any update on this? Analytics reports that most of my visitors use Internet Explorer.

    I tried to disable and re-enable every single plugin (deleting IE cache very time i did so and refresehd the page to check if the dots were gone), and nothing.

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards,

    Hey,

    very likely it’s an opacity filter problem/bug of the IE browser which causes this error. Kriesi needs to adjust the slider code to work around this problem. It may take some time.

    Thanks for the update :)

    Will be checking the forum from time to time to check the status of this :D

    hey! I looked into it, it seems that IE has problems with the dark parts of images. you might want to try the following:

    in style.css search for: (around line 674)

    entry-previewimage a {
    border: medium none;
    height: 560px;
    overflow: hidden;
    width: 300px;
    }
    and change it to

    entry-previewimage a {
    border: medium none;
    height: 560px;
    overflow: hidden;
    width: 300px;
    background:#000;
    }

    Hello Kriesi! Thanks for the response :)

    I applied your code as you said, cleared both WP and IE cache files, but the problem still happens :(

    http://www.autonocion.com/2011/05/golf-gti-35-aniversario/ (I use Internet Explorer 8).

    Regards,

    Chris.
