    I have noticed that the positioning is shifted to the left when my site is viewed with ie9. Any suggestions why this is the case and how to fix?

    Please check your header.php file. There’s code before the doctype definition which breaks the html code:

    <head>
    <meta name="google-site-verification" content="nlimixVDiJO9w2cyAS1ZbVGNEAEIgQlZXml4gwfBGR0" />
    </head>

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

    IE can’t display the website properly if the doctype definition isn’t correct. If you can’t find the code in header.php try to deactivate the plugins – maybe one adds it to your website.
