The images are cut to a maximum height of 1024 px if I’m correct.
Which php files do I need to modify in order to increase the image height?
Thanks in advance.
You can change the slideshow/image dimensions in functions.php (I’d only adjust the height value). Afterwards regenerate the thumbnails with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
I wanted to do the same thing. Basically restrict the image height so it doesn’t stretch larger than 650 px.
Do you think you can show me how to change the function.php in the wordpress theme? It is a bit confusing.
I don’t know which thumbnail size you’d like to change but you can use the crop parameter. So i.e. you have following code in functions.php:
$avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>930, 'height'=>340); // images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider
and you want to change it to max 650px height – use following code instead:
$avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>930, 'height'=>650, 'crop'=>true); // images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider
Sorry, I think I was a bit unclear with my request. Can you hear me out again?
I was referring to the portfolio single entries that are displayed on their own page. It appears that the theme automatically enlarges the images to fit the width of the section; about 930px. This automatic expansion of the image is larger than the image I uploaded so the quality becomes blurred. If possible, I wanted to restrict the height of the portfolio single entries so that the height does not exceed 650px. Would this be possible?
