I followed your posts
(Purchase code hidden if logged out) – (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -a-sidebar” class=”bbcode_url”>http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) – (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -a-sidebar
and made my portfolio single pages fullwidth. All is fine, except that the image is not XL size but only L size, which is same as that used in the blog page (Blog is not fullwidth). Please see here to see what I mean –> http://i998.photobucket.com/albums/af107/fotografity/screenshot_02.jpg
I would like to make the image on my portfolio fullwidth, XL size, i.e. fullwidth, so how do I do that?
Please help me.February 1, 2011 at 7:43 am #39937February 1, 2011 at 8:31 am #39938
just replace following two lines in your portfolio post template:
$big_prev_image = kriesi_post_thumb($post->ID, array('size'=> array('L'),
'wh' => $k_option['custom']['imgSize']['L'],
$big_prev_image = kriesi_post_thumb($post->ID, array('size'=> array('XL'),
'wh' => $k_option['custom']['imgSize']['XL'],February 1, 2011 at 9:12 am #39939February 1, 2011 at 9:15 am #39940February 1, 2011 at 9:18 am #39941
So how do I have the Fullwidth Portfolio page to show XL and the 2 column Blog post page to show the L size?
Thanks.February 1, 2011 at 9:21 am #39942
The Blog page should be like this –> http://i998.photobucket.com/albums/af107/fotografity/screenshot_04.jpgFebruary 2, 2011 at 8:03 am #39943
did you create a portfolio template ( like I posted here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) – (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -a-sidebar ) – this template shouldn’t affect your blog style and your post style. So if you modify the image size for this template only your blog, your archive and single.php show the images like before….
What you can try is to regenerate your thumbnails (maybe something went wrong during the upload) by using this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/February 2, 2011 at 1:05 pm #39944
Yes, I did create a fullwidth_post.php. And did what your post said. Now, the portfolio post is aligned left, and the image is still L size.February 3, 2011 at 3:32 am #39945
It seems that fullwidth_post.php has no effect. And the formatting is still from single.php. I have installed custom post pages and modded as per your post. Any ideas? I also chose Fullwidth in word press under that portfolio item.February 3, 2011 at 3:33 am #39946February 3, 2011 at 8:48 am #39947
Can you create me an admin account and send me the login details to: (Email address hidden if logged out) – I’ll have a look into it.February 3, 2011 at 9:01 am #39948
Thanks! Sent you an admin account.
Could you help with the bg_featured.png not showing correctly as well? Thanks!February 3, 2011 at 9:34 am #39949
the problem is that the plugin doesn’t work correctly. The template code is correct but the plugin always displays the default template. So I solved the problem via post meta. Have a look at this portfolio post: http://fotografity.com/main/?portfolio=absolute-moon-youtube – the text is fullwidth because I set a fullwidth custom field for it here: http://fotografity.com/main/wp-admin/post.php?post=103&action=edit&message=1 (notice: name is “fullwidth” and the value is “yes” at the moment but you can use any value you like). The reason why the image doesn’t appear fullwidth is because it’s too small (so upload images with a width of 940px or more…). You can deactivate the plugin – it doesn’t work as far as I can see..)February 3, 2011 at 10:34 am #39950February 3, 2011 at 10:49 am #39951February 3, 2011 at 10:52 am #39952February 3, 2011 at 1:00 pm #39953
The portfolio items selected via a category displays in blog style with side bar, how do I display them as per a portfolio post in fullwidth?February 4, 2011 at 7:50 am #39954
If I select “Youtube – Absolute Moon” here: http://fotografity.com/main/?portfolio_entries=html (html archive) it displays fullwidth as expected. There shouldn’t be any difference because we’re using post meta values and not conditional tags…February 4, 2011 at 8:47 am #39955
No it doesn’t. Click on the link you posted above, it has sidebar. Because it is in portfolio HTML category. The post itself is fullwidth, but not when you select to display a category, all the portfolio post selected via a category has a SIDEBAR…
Any ideas?February 4, 2011 at 9:08 am #39956
