If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
So it seems sometimes on some computers the photos in any gallery (product, portfolio or blog) will fail to load when the lightbox is activated.
By looking at the web console in firefox I can see that the images are retrieved perfectly fine, but some how the lightbox never loads them into view (the loading spin wheel just keeps spinning). Sometimes they never load; other times they load almost at random, even though the request for the photo has been made and retrieved by the document many, many seconds prior.
Sometimes i recieve a JS error for “typeError: mismatch…. on line 68 of the prettyPhoto.js file”.
You can take a look at the site here – http://www.soulsignatureoriginal.com
I think the problem is the file size – eg the lightbox couldn’t open this image: http://soulsignatureoriginal.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/img_6823-2-copy_watermarked.jpg and when I checked the file size it was nearly 2mb. Smaller images worked flawlessly. I’d use tools like http://www.obviousidea.com/en/windows-software/light-image-resizer/ to compress the images a bit and to shrink them to a reasonable filesize of 100kb to 500kb.
