I am having a hard time adding images to slides. I add the image to the gallery then I try to add it to the slides and it says it added, but then I save and it and the window stays white and never adds it to my slides. It was working yesterday. What happened?June 25, 2013 at 4:29 am #122344
Please increase the wordpress php memory limit: http://www.dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/
Deactivate the plugins one at a time, see if they they are the issue.

I deactivated all the plugins and its still not working. It must be the PHP memory, but I have no experience coding and I’d prefer not to mess with it. I guess I can call the hosting company and see if they can help me. There wouldnt be any other reason this error would happen would there? I’m in a time crunch.

Ok, thank you I was able to increase PHP memory, and it worked once, but then the same issue started again. I’m not sure what to do. How can this be corrected?

I called my hosting provider and they say that I have reached my max in my 06 folder under WP content, then uploads, then 2013, then 06. He is saying that alot of images are created and Ive gone over my max which is 1024 and I’m at 1500 images. He thinks it has to do my template and the coding. For example, for one of my portfolio images, (Texrilla), I added 9 images. He says that for each image I added, 12 appear. Why is that? Because its responsive? How can this be corrected? Please help me.

It sounds like you are on a budget hosting setup which will probably not work with this theme. Yes, each time you upload an image multiple others are created that can then be used around the theme for the portfolio views, featured images and others. It saves on load times and makes a better front end user experience.
You *could* remove the functions in the function.php which create the smaller image sizes but you’ll see your load times increase for the user.

I use godaddy.com for hosting. I have removed all images and am starting over. So even with a clean plate, I am having the same issue. I upload the images to the slideshow, then I wait for it to finish crunching but it doesn’t finish, so I hit save all, then it goes blank and stays that way. I close the window and go back in to see if images are in gallery. They are in gallery but then I try to add then into slideshow and it goes blank and never adds them. Whats going on? I pretty much started over so why am I having the same issue?

Sure looks like a memory limit issue. Increase the memory limit to 128M or higher.
You should have WordPress 3.5 or higher.

But I don’t understand, I deleted all the images under file manager. There are no images to take up memory space. Can you look at my website and check if something happened to the template? My website is http://www.sandranegron.com. I can email you username and pw if you give me an email to do that. I would really appreciate it. I’ve been trying to get this to work for 1 full week. My email is email@example.com
