Everything is great save for one issue at the moment.
I’ve set all my images through functions.php to have a 610px width.
But I can’t figure out how to set it to allow for potentially longer images.
For example, this image in this post should be 610 x 958px >> http://bit.ly/ML9zMX
But it’s locked into 610×610.
How can I set it so that images are 610px by a ‘variable’ length on both the blog previews and their respective single pages?
Thanks in advance!
You’ll need to also change the height on the pages/posts/whatever to a big number to specify its maximum height. Also make sure the item has ‘crop’=>false to make sure the thumbs are not cropped to fit and instead are stretched (unless you want the image to be cropped then set it to true).
thanks Devin. I’ve change the parameters in functions.php to
$avia_config['imgSize']['blog'] = array('width'=>610, 'height'=>958, 'crop'=>false); // image for blog posts
however, all it does now is stretch my other images to that length as you can see >> http://bit.ly/N0IZzh
i just need the images to display in their actual dimensions.
please advice where to go from here. Thanks!
Did you try to regenerate your images with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
Yes i’ve done that. I’ve also tried re-attaching the images to the post. But they’re all still stretched into 610 x 958.
What I am doing wrong here?
Slight update. Managed to keep the images from stretching by setting height: auto; within slideshow.css
But there is still the container behind it that is being forced into 610 x 958 >> http://bit.ly/N0IZzh
Please help. Thanks again.
