    Hi,

I’ve tried to create a gallery for the last few hours but without success.

I upload the Images and select update and they don’t appear on the site. Any help would be much appreciated.

Also, do I have to manually create thumbnails as it seems that WordPress only offers this option to the first image in the list?

Just upload the imagesi on the Upload/Insert button above the editor then add the gallery shortcode

    [gallery link="file" columns="7"]

    Hi Ismael,

I’ve done what you said, but when I click to view the page nothing appears. Although in the editer it does.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Ismael,

I finally worked it out. All I need to do now is work out how I can make all the images thumbnails that open.

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks for your help.

sorry that should have read: how do I make images all the same thumbnail size in Gallery?

    #126223

    Hi,

You can use the gallery shortcode

    [gallery size="thumbnail"]

The size of the images for “thumbnail”, “medium” and “large” can be configured in WordPress admin panel under Settings > Media.

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Gallery_Shortcode

I know you gave me a link to your website via email but when I visit the site, I can’t see the Gallery.

    Regards,

    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

I have managed to insert images, but the code above isn’t creating thumbnails.

Do I have to rezize images before uploading, i.e. do I have to manually size the images one by one?

If so, what are the image dimensions on the dummy template?

    Many thanks,

    Jon.

    Hi,

You don’t need to resize them manually. Use this plugin to regenerate the thumbnails.

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

The thumbnail size on the demo is 80x80px. Set that on Settings > Media > Image sizes > Thumbnail size.

    Regards,

    Ismael
