I’ve been searching around in the forum, but can’t seem to find the answer for this:
Is there a way to link the 4 thumbnails under the slide show to a post/page?
I have tried pointing to URL on image settings, but that doesn’t make a difference. When I mouse over the image, all i get is its name to pop up. I would like to click on the image and load a page (similar to what the READ MORE button already does in that same section)
Also, can you point me in the right direction as far as creating an additional space on the footer so that I can add some columns and extra links? (Something similar to the footer on Elementia theme). I realize this may be beyond the scope of this forum, but if you could provide some basic code and tell me in which files I can tweak things, I appreciate it.February 14, 2011 at 9:08 am #40495February 14, 2011 at 12:54 pm #40496February 14, 2011 at 1:00 pm #40497
[… five minutes later]
Gosh Dude… that was some EASY fix! How awesome are you???? :D
Now I’m wondering… can you do the same with portfolio thumbnails?
Thanks again for all your help!February 15, 2011 at 2:04 pm #40498
Yes that’s possible – even without hacking the theme :)
Go to CleanCut Options > Portfolio Options and change the “Portfolio Image Link” option to “Show Portfolio Single Post”.March 24, 2011 at 12:55 am #40499
Duh! LOL…. It really helps when you (read: I) read the theme options!!!! LOL
Thanks for your patience Dude! :-)
I’m almost there on my tweaking stuff! :)March 25, 2011 at 6:00 am #40500April 25, 2011 at 4:06 am #40501
Going back to the subject…. I am trying to link one of the portfolio thumbnails to a Page (NOT to its own post).
Is there a way of doing that without affecting the rest of portfolio thumbnails?
The image in question is Portfolio Thumbnail for Nursery (3rd row on this link: http://dev.stthomastheapostle.org/communications/portfolio/
I would like for people to click on image and be directed here: http://dev.stthomastheapostle.org/ministries/nursery/
Thanks in advance!April 25, 2011 at 5:48 am #40502
Currently it’s not easily possible to link only certain image to an (external) site or any page. I’d need to hack the portfolio page quite a bit or rewrite the thumbnail generation class – both takes some time and it’s beyond the scope of this support forum.April 25, 2011 at 12:03 pm #40503
