Hi there, My issue is my images in my posts do not open in a lightbox when I click on them. Please visit http://www.aboutthegoldcoast.com.au/2011/07/hope-island-pool-action/ If you click on the image no lightbox opens. And really why this matters is that when posting to facebook I get no thumbnail for the post. Thanks for your advice.July 28, 2011 at 7:23 am #49239
You need to add the image as featured image to your post. A featured image is uploaded by “Set featured image => Pick image => Use as featured image” (below the post thumbnail options). I think you clicked on “Set featured image”, then you picked an image but clicked on “Insert into post” afterwards. This will insert the image into the post content but it won’t create a featured image :)
You can also add
to the image links and they’ll open in a lightbox.August 25, 2011 at 9:18 pm #49240
I am having the same problem with portfolio images in a “display” theme site. When I click on the image it just shows it in a browser window no lightbox animation.
When I add the featured image to the post there is no option to “Use as featured image”— only “Insert into post”.
I would add this to the image link but the interface doesn’t show the link— only the address to the image.

1) Kriesi released an update for Display – try to install it. (You can download it from themeforest.net ).
These didn’t work.
I installed the update files.
I did not modify any javascipt files. Any other suggestions.August 26, 2011 at 4:42 pm #49243
this is the error:

It seems like the update didn’t work for the lightbox files. I.e.: http://thevertilehouse.org/wp-content/themes/display/js/prettyPhoto/js/jquery.prettyPhoto.js is the old lightbox version which doesn’t work with the new jQuery version. Try to replace the prettyphoto folder (which is located in display/js folder) with the updated files from here: http://www.no-margin-for-errors.com/demos/prettyPhoto-jquery-lightbox-clone/prettyPhoto_compressed_3.1.3.zip. I’d unpack the zip und upload the prettyphoto folder by using a ftp software like filezilla.August 26, 2011 at 7:24 pm #49245
