    Hello,

    When I first installed Choices, I was able to create blog posts with the format of “Status”. This enabled me to give brief status updates, as the name suggests. For some reason, I no longer have “Status” as a choice within the Format radiogroup (all I have is Standard, Link, Quote, Gallery, Video, and Image). How can I restore the ability to post status updates?

    Thanks.

    Hi!

    Try following – open up functions.php and replace:

    add_theme_support( 'post-formats', array('link', 'quote', 'gallery','video','image' ) );

    with:

    add_theme_support( 'post-formats', array('status', 'link', 'quote', 'gallery','video','image' ) );

    Best regards,

    Peter

    Hi bhatiav,

    As far as I know Choices never had support for Status updates. I went back and looked at the functions.php where the post format support is added and even in the release version it isn’t there.

    You can add support for it in the functions.php, search for:

    /*
    * add post format options
    */
    add_theme_support( 'post-formats', array('link', 'quote', 'gallery','video','image' ) );

    and add status to it:

    /*
    * add post format options
    */
    add_theme_support( 'post-formats', array('link', 'quote', 'gallery','video','image','status' ) );

    I’m not sure what additional css will be needed for this but you can adjust as needed.

    Regards,

    Devin
