If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I tried inserting a GIF animation and it inserted in the page but it will not animated properly. Is there another way of doing this?
Can you specify where you inserted the image? GIFs should work fine in posts & pages, they’ll have difficulties in sliders.
I want to insert it onto a page. I clicked upload/insert then inserted it as I would a photo but it will not play on the site unless the person actually clicks on the image. Is there a way of making it start playing just as soon as the page loads?
Can you send us a link to the page so we can test for ourselves? Also, do you know what browser they were trying to use?
The page is http://towardsparenthood.org.au/ and it is the image at the bottom
The gifs work if I open them so I’m not sure what is wrong. I’m using Firefox
Hello try to load the image on the theme > images folder not on the WordPress image upload. WordPress is cropping the image that is why it is not animating. Then insert the image with the src=http://towardsparenthood.org.au/wp-content/themes/broadscope/images/gifimage.gif. Something like that.
