If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
1) I’m using a custom template for my home page consisting of the portfolio template followed by a text area. I have 7 portfolio elements in a 3 column layout, which means I have 2 empty spots in the last row. I would like my text area to fill the empty spots next to the last portfolio item. In other words I want my text area to be inline with the last portfolio thumbnail, but the portfolio container is displayed as a block, full width.
I managed to do something similar, by aligning my text area to the right and I gave it a negative top-margin, but when the browser’s window is reduced and all the portfolio resized, the text are gets below the portfolio items.
You can see what I mean here :
Is there any way I can insert my text area next to the portfolio items?
2) I’m using the WPML multilingual plugin in order to have my website in French & English. I noticed some elements aren’t compatible.
ex: I can’t manage to display the portfolio meta information (description & title) in a single portfolio item for my second language. I think it isn’t compatible with your template builder.
It probably isn’t your main concern, but I believe it would be a great addition for an upcoming update. If you have an alternative solution, let me know.
1) I would suggest adding some additional css to change your text element for different screen sizes. If you open up layout.css and search for #Media Queries, you can look at how the css changes for the different media queries. Copy the @media… elements to your custom.css and just add your own css that adjusts the text block to your needs :)
It will probably take some adjusting, but their use can be pretty powerful.
2) I’ll forward the information along to Kriesi/support team. I’m not as up to date on the developments with WPML as they are.
