    Hi

When I link to a YouTube video in my slider (http://tremblaytechweb.com/TWdev/about/the-shop?preview=true&preview_id=3028&preview_nonce=427459ef84) (1) I can’t get it open in lightbox (2) its display is larger than the other images in the slider, therefore if I go to view my images, they are distorted/wrong size.

Can you help fix these problems?

    Thanks,

    Lyse

    Hi Lyse,

Use an image for the video’s preview image then select Link Manually and put the youtube link in the link field.

    That should do it :)

    Hi Devin,

Thank you. I get both the image in the lightbox and the next one is the video. No quite what I want. I would rather have visitors click the button to watch the video, it opens and plays in lightbox. Is this possible? I tried so many options that I seem to have exhausted my ideas…

    Much appreciate the prompt response.

    Hi Lyse,

Add your image preview for the video then choose Link manually. Put the youtube link into that field and save.

    Hi Devin,

That’s what I have done, but the video goes to YouTube to play, not within lightbox.

Can you link to where you’ve got that set up? I just tested it again on my live test site and it worked without issue. Perhaps there is something conflicting with the default behavior.

    Hi Devin,

I need to give you the Dashboard login info to do that. Where can I send it?

    Hi Lyse,

You can send the information to my email at DevinVinson (at) gmail.com. Make sure to include a link to this topic so that my spam filter doesn’t grab it :)

    Hi Devin,

    Email sent…..

Links must be in the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=*video ID* format in order for the code to pick up that your link is in fact a video and should be played in that way. You had the shortened link of http://youtu.be/*video ID*

I’ve updated the link to the correct format and tested it to make sure it works.
