The error is that there is a missing style.css, but I am unclear from the thread above how to fix the problem. Can you help?

Hey owensbt,
The main zipped file you download from Themeforest is not the file you upload to your wordpress installation. First, you have to unzip it on your computer so that you can see the files inside it.
One of those inside should be incarnation.zip (or just incarnation and the zipped file icon depending on your computer set up). This is the actual theme file that you'll upload to wordpress if you are uploading using the wordpress add theme function.
