I do very much like the current image zoom on product pages, but I find that it is a lot more user-friendly to not have to click and have a pop-up window with the larger scale image
I was wondering if it would be possible to have this, or something like it, integrated onto the product pages, and if so, how I’d go about doing this :)
ThankyouJanuary 12, 2014 at 5:11 pm #208671
Yes, you can try this plugin: Magic Zoom – afaik the plugin author supports our themes and he can help you if you find incompatibility issues.

Thanks a lot, I’ll be sure to give that a go, I’ll post again and let you know how it goes :)
thanks for the speedy reply too, much appreciatedJanuary 12, 2014 at 8:08 pm #208702
Hi again Peter,
Magic Zoom is great, seems very dynamic with options
It’s working great with my Featured Image, but the Gallery Images don’t have the option to zoom on them, they still have the sort of LightBox option ‘click to zoom in lightbox pop-up’ thing going on
I’m just wondering if there’s a way to use Magic Zoom with the Gallery Images too?
Thanks again for your help so far :)January 12, 2014 at 9:29 pm #208716
I’m not sure if the gallery images are supported by the “Magic Zoom” plugin because I’m not the plugin auhor and I didn’t test all settings/features extensively. I recommend to contact the plugin author here: https://www.magictoolbox.com/contact/. He’ll give you a honest answer for sure and if it’s not possible at the moment you can send him a feature request.

Hey again Peter,
The guys said that it’s most likely a conflict with the theme; I was wondering if there’s a way to sort of turn off the lightbox function within the theme, as this might allow the Magic Zoom to take over the images
Thanks againJanuary 13, 2014 at 3:20 am #208775
To disable lightbox, please see Ismael’s post here http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-gallery-lightbox/#post-206667

There’s not actually anything on my line 54 in my avia.js file
i went to /wp-content/themes/replete/js and nothing is there on line 54, i also did a ctrl+f search for the code David spoke of and there wasn’t anything matching it either :(January 13, 2014 at 2:48 pm #208948
Please edit js > avia.js, find this code on line 91:
//activates the prettyphoto lightbox if(jQuery.fn.avia_activate_lightbox) jQuery(container).avia_activate_lightbox();
Replace it with:
//activates the prettyphoto lightbox //if(jQuery.fn.avia_activate_lightbox) //jQuery(container).avia_activate_lightbox();
Remove browser cache then reload the page. The lightbox will be disabled by then.
