If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
The horizontal product slider which shows “show details” and ” Add to cart ” on hover, can be used to send to the page/post of the same site on clicking show details directly without showing or going to products buy page? I wanted to use this slider for different purpose but not for woocommerce at some areas, can this be achieved? If its possible, Please can I have the procedure to edit the code to use this slider to goto the custom link of page/post of the same site other than woocommerce product’s page? I wanted this slider to display some thing else other than woocommerce products. If this slider is only enabled only when woocommerce is enabled or installed, what can be done to use this slider to goto the custom link/page/post of the same site while having the woocommerce enabled but tweaking it to use the slider for different purpose , means I’ll add some thing as product using woocommerce as in “affiliate external link”(already existing) but instead of taking it to the original product page the slider upon clicking has to directly take to the page.
Thank you very much!
I’m not entirely sure this can be done. If so, I believe this would require a major rewrite of code. I don’t know what your exact requirements are for the slider but you may find using the “Content Slider” shortcode to be easier or you may want to search for a product slider plugin.
I’m going to flag this for the rest of the support team to see if they can offer any insights.
Basically it’s possible to use the slider for any kind of data and entries but it requires some work to implement other content types. Probably a freelancer can do this with 2-3 hours of work. Another solution would be to use a redirection plugin – then the slider would link to a product page which then redirects the user to the static content page or another post. It’s not a nice solution but it requires less work…
