Is it possible to lock a slide-show at a fixed height?

I'd like to use a "thin" slide show in my site...containing photos and a Vimeo video.
By scaling my images in Photoshop I've got a slide show which does change size, BUT when the page loads the slide-show starts big and scales down to the smaller size that I am using.
Is it possible to fix the size of the slide-show and turn off the scaling effect?
I want the page to load without bouncing down to the smaller size that I am using. Is this possible?

Hi!

You can try following css code add it to css/custom.css or the quick css field and change the height value:
```
#slideshow_big{
max-height: 300px !important
}
```
