We use our portfolio section of the Cleancut theme only for videos. I would love to be able to have a widget or custom code that pulls the most recent portfolio items. Is this possible?

Thanks for the quick reply. You said Habitat, but does it work for Cleancut as well? With a quick glance at the code I think it would work but it's not exactly what I was hoping for. Now I think I may need to duplicate that widget, and alter the duplicate to display the portfolio items.
We already use the Cleancut Sidebar News in a few places so I'd like to keep using that. So can I have an additional widget that does the same thing except for portfolio items? Thanks for your help!

If you want to use the Sidebar News widget for the blog entries and for the portfolio entries you need to duplicate the widget or change it's code (more complex). I would create an extra portfolio news widget based on "Sidebar News" widget. Currently it's not possible to show both post types.

MemberThe default cleancut theme displays the cleancut sidebar news widget with 4 different posts on the mainpage's bottom in a row of 4. I can't seem to replicate that. I put the cleancut widget in the 4 mainpage column but them all show the "latest" post. how can i have the 1st widget show the latest, the 2nd widget show the 2nd latest post and so on, as per the default cleancut theme.
