Hoping someone can assist me, having 2 issues that I can’t figure out. (for reference my portfolio page will show its normal preview images except when you click the preview post, it will open up another page of additional images from the specified project)
1) When clicking a preview image on the portfolio page – how do I make it so it opens up the page. Right now it only lets you proceed to the following page when clicking the page text name below or “read below” message
I want mine to react like preview of Corona if you click “Wallpaper Collection: Catastrophe” > Opens corresponding Page
2) Any suggestions for Vertical images in the portfolio media – Its either scaling them dramatically, or cropping the image heavily. Trying to find the perfect size to make the picture so it comes in scaled as best possible. *Image below got scaled up drastically, or if I go bigger as an original image it will crop it so you don’t see everything*

For the portfolio link issue, you can set the target of the image link in the Add featured media meta box on that specific portfolio item for each image. The dropdown for “Apply link to the image?” can either be Link to this post or Link manually if you want another option.
For the single portfolio layout, I would suggest just using a dynamic template. Create on in the themes Template builder section to give yourself a layout you want and then apply it in the Dynamic Template meta box on the individual portfolio item page.
For example, you could make a template with only the page content and then just put your images into that page with your own layout instead of using the automated output which will stretch the image to fit the width of the full page.

Thanks Devin. Problem 1 solved.
Problem 2 is a good work around. These photos I would have on one of inside portfolio page would have multiple imagery. I would prefer to use a slider on the inside page (multiple images), similar to the front page.
I created a test page. As you can see the vertical imagery gets scaled/cropped heavily in the slider.
This is an example of what the full image would look like w/o the croppingMarch 13, 2013 at 5:59 am #110611
You can use a plugin like: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
To modify the image sizes that get generated. The images in a slider will still get stretched to fit the whole container but you can define the max height which is what is cropping them right now.

Bare with me. I am a little inept when it comes to this. Really need to keep the slider as I need a preview of portfolio element to stay on the dynamic home page.
In essence I am confused on what I am supposed to be adjusting. Read through all their files on the plugins page – been playing and putzing with everything (except regenerate thumbnails).
Would the interior portfolio slider (shown above on test page) be considered “fullsize size” that I am supposed to be adjusting. Because the vertical image scales the slider to aprox 930 x 710pxMarch 13, 2013 at 4:08 pm #110613
Just want to say the support has been awesome too. Main reason why I bought this theme. Searching helped me out greatly, just stuck on this last part go figureMarch 14, 2013 at 7:04 pm #110614
In the actual theme files the functions for each of the image sizes are listed in the functions.php. So:
$avia_config['imgSize']['widget'] = array('width'=>36, 'height'=>36 ); // small preview pics eg sidebar news
$avia_config['imgSize']['related'] = array('width'=>130, 'height'=>130); // small images for related items (also for small blog overview images)
$avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio4'] = array('width'=>210, 'height'=>160); // small preview pic for default portfolio (4 columns )
$avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio3'] = array('width'=>290, 'height'=>200); // medium preview pic for 3 column portfolio
$avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio3_sb']= array('width'=>183, 'height'=>160); // medium preview pic for 3 column portfolio with sidebar
$avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio2'] = array('width'=>450, 'height'=>300); // medium preview pic for 2 column portfolio and small 3d slider
$avia_config['imgSize']['page'] = array('width'=>610, 'height'=>255); // image for pages and one column portfolio
$avia_config['imgSize']['blog'] = array('width'=>450, 'height'=>255); // image for blog posts (big)
$avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>930, 'height'=>370); // big images for fullsize pages and fullsize 2D & 3D slider
$avia_config['imgSize']['fullsize'] = array('width'=>930, 'height'=>523); // big images for single portfolio pages
$avia_config['imgSize']['aviacordion'] = array('width'=>610, 'height'=>370); // big Image for aviacordion
For the big images on the single porfolio page you have set up, its probably pulling from the featured or fullsize image which is 930 wide by 523px tall or 370px tall depending on which one. If you’ve changed that size, then it wont take effect until the images get regenerated or you upload an image to the site for the first time.
I’m not sure if that answers the question or not as I’m not completely clear on what the end solution you are looking for is, but I hope that helps :)
