    Hi Max,

Thanks for that. I’m not really a LayerSlider expert, but it looks like the elements which are supposed to not be seen when hiding the shop slide are all present in the home slide. What happens if you hide those elements from the home slide?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,
1: the same happens when i DELETE the slide.
2: I dont find the elements we are talking about in the homeslide. Can you please send a screenshot??

    Situation:
    -Slide A with elements 1,2,3.
    -Slide B
(There are no hidden elements – not in SlideA, not in Slide B.)

    Act:
    I delete Slide B

    Result:
    I see Slide A with elements 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
This is not logic. and before we ask ourself what happens if i hide something we should ask “Why does something shows up when i delete something?”

    Kind regards Max

    Hi,

    Thank you for the info.

Did you create the slider using a template? It is possible that those are old entries created from an older version of the plugin that have not been deleted properly. We may be able to fix them by removing the cache, or by creating a duplicate of the same slider. In the Layer Slider > Settings > Advanced tab, look for the Use slider markup caching option, then try to click the “Empty the cache” button to remove ghost entries.

Is this how you see the layers in slider editor?

    I have a different guess:
It is the length that causes the mystery.
If the first slide is eg. 10 seconds long and the second slide starts at 5:00 the the second slide coverst the second half of the first slide.
And when i delete the second slide the part has been covered shows up
    Can this be the reason?
If yes…where do i find the settings for “length” ?

    Hi,

If yes…where do i find the settings for “length” ?

You might be referring to the Slide Options > Slide Timing > Duration settings. But the next slide should only start after the previous one has finished transitioning or when after the specified slide duration as described below.

Here you can set the time interval between slide changes, this slide will stay visible for the time specified here. This value is in millisecs, so the value 1000 means 1 second. Please don’t use 0 or very low values.

Did you check the screenshot above, and do you see the same layers on your end?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

Did you actually create those layers? You might want to hide them temporarily, or remove them completely if they are not necessary. You could also try to adjust the slide timing duration as explained above.

Did you create the slider using a template? If you did, then it is possible that the template was created using an older version of the layer slider and it is possible that the layers are no longer compatible with the latest version of the plugin due to certain script or database entry changes.

    Thank you for your patience.

    No templates have been used
“You might want to hide them temporarily, or remove them completely if they are not necessary. ”
This recommendation has no relation to the topic.

    The question still is:
“Why does something shows up when i delete something?”

    Kind regards

    Hi,

This recommendation has no relation to the topic.

What do you mean? By the looks of it, there are layers in the slider that are not actually used, which shows when you delete something.

Why does something shows up when i delete something?

We are not really sure but our first guess is because the slider is from an old template but since it is not, then it might be cause by cache. You might have to recreate the slider from scratch if this continues to happen.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
