Issues with uploading images to slider

   Hi! Thanks for having made Choices into an excellent theme.

   I have run into a problem... As I want to add images to the slider, I click "Add image to slideshow" but nothing happens. The same problem occurs when wanting to upload e.g. a logo. Nothing happens if I click the 'Upload' button. In the case with the logo, I solved it by first uploading the file to the Media section and then pasting the logo URL. That is not an option in terms of adding images to the slider though, so now I'm stuck. Have no clue why this doesn't work. I have worked a lot in Wordpress and never ran into this problem before. I'm a Mac user and I have tried it both in Chrome (Version 20.0.1132.47) and Firefox (v 14.0.1).

   What could be the issue? I look forward to a prompt reply since I am working under a tight deadline.

   Hello,

   Please try to disable all plugins and see if it is working.

   Hi Ismael, I first deactivated all plugins except for Disqus which is the plugin I want to use the most. That didn't help....BUT when I also deactivated Disqus then the 'upload images' function started working.

   Do you know why there is a conflict with Disqus and is there anything I can do about it? Do you suggest I upload all the images I need and then activate Disqus again? But what if I need to repeat that procedure - do you think all the comments on past blog posts will be erased when temporarily deactivating Disqus or will they still be there when activating?

   Hi M,

   I don't think the comments will be lost once Disqus is deactivated. You might want to try other alternative comment system plugin for wordpress, You might want to check this link: http://www.smartbloggerz.com/2009/08/15-plugins-to-make-your-wordpress-comment-system-better/.

   Ok, thanks.

   It seems that IntenseDebate (http://www.intensedebate.com/) and LiveFyre (http://www.livefyre.com/) are the two best alternatives to Disqus. Here's a fairly recent comparison: http://www.kidnapcustomers.com/how-to-make-a-website/intensedebate-vs-disqus-vs-livefyre-vs-commentluv/

   I do love using Disqus though so, in the meantime, could you please note down this conflict and see if it can be solved, considering that it is such a popular plugin (Downloads: 769,093 on Wordpress.org).
