    How to I eliminate the text background color and text hover highlighting displayed on individual items in portfolio lists?

    I’m fine with the icon/background hover overlay on the image, but I want to zap the text description background color in normal mode (ugly), and I want the background color and text color to remain the same in “hover” mode. No border, either.

    The portfolio colors seem to be directly tied to the standard main content text link and highlight colors, and I can’t seem to change one without affecting both.

    Hi,

    open up C:xampphtdocswp-contentthemeschoicescssdynamic-css.php and replace:

    #top $key .post_timeline li:hover .timeline-bullet, $key .portfolio-sort-container .inner-entry:hover{
    background-color:$secondary;
    }

    #top #wrap_all $key .portfolio-sort-container .inner-entry:hover h1, #top #wrap_all $key .portfolio-sort-container .inner-entry:hover h1 a, #top #wrap_all $key .portfolio-sort-container .inner-entry:hover p{
    color:#fff;
    }

    $key blockquote, $key .portfolio-sort-container .inner-entry:hover{
    border-color:$primary;
    }

    with:

    #top $key .post_timeline li:hover .timeline-bullet{
    background-color:$secondary;
    }

    $key blockquote{
    border-color:$primary;
    }

    I added the following to the custom.css file instead. Seemed less likely to change in case of an update. Thanks for the point in the right direction.

    .portfolio-sort-container .inner-entry { background-color:inherit !important; }
    .portfolio-sort-container .inner-entry:hover { background-color:inherit !important; }
    .portfolio-sort-container .inner-entry:hover h1, .portfolio-sort-container .inner-entry:hover h1 a, .portfolio-sort-container .inner-entry:hover p { color:#444444 !important; text-decoration: none !important; }
    .portfolio-sort-container .inner-entry:hover{ border-color: #fff !important; }

    Hey,

    Glad it is fixed.
