On my homepage, I am using a layerslider. Actually this layerslide only includes ONE slide with multiple layers.

Within the top section of “Slide Options,” I have noted that the field entitled Linking — of the (I thought) background image — is an anchor on the homepage of #productslidercolorsection

In the second Layer of the single Slide, I have put in two av_button shortcodes — each with a manually link of other pages.

    Looks fine.

But…when I view the two buttons within page Source, I see the hrefs on the buttons are correct.

However, when I hover over either button — and click on them — I go to the Slide Linking anchor.

The Linking reference appears to be “overriding” the href of the buttons within the Layer.

The Linking was put in there, because I figured someone might not go to the buttons, but click on the background image and I wanted their “click” to be “rewarded.”

Got any ideas of the best way to resolve this?

    Thanks for your shared expertise.

    Hey CharlieTh,

Could you provide us with a link to the site in question so that we can take a closer look please?

    Cheers!

Sorry about that, Rikard! You guys can do MANY wonderful things…but maybe mind-reading is not one of them?

Site is trackitanywhere.com. Home page is the one I’m working on.

The buttons are the Buy and Try Before you Buy at the bottom of the slider (which is at very top of the page.)

    Thanks for checking it out.

    Hi,

Thanks for the link and I can see the buttons, they link to anchors on the same page like you said. I’m not sure I understand the problem with that though, where are they supposed to link instead?

    Best regards,
    Rikard
