Hi, I’m a newbie so sorry if this winds up being a simple reply, but…
I”m trying to do slide shows using either layerslider or easyslider.
Seems like the layerslider controls allow you to make a small one… but it doesn’t fit inside an Avia formatting container, so even if the size is small, it centers on the page. Oops, not that workable for a small slide show.
The easyslider offers a lot of resolutions and aspect ratios… and it pretty much doesn’t matter which one I choose, it expands to the width of the container it’s in. That is, it doesn’t matter if the resolution is 200×200 or 400×495, it takes the width of the container, be it 2/3, 1/2, etc, even if it has to greatly degrade the resolution to do it. Is there a fix for this?
And say, as long as I’m asking: the “text block” Avia function doesn’t have much in the kitchen sink. No access to fonts H1, H2, H3 etc, just a couple of fairly lame drop-cap effects. Am I suppose to access these by just doing html, as in <h2>howdy</h2>? In which case it would be useful for newbies like me to know what will and won’t work within the Avia system.
Thanks, it’s a cool theme.

1) Yes, right now the slider does not allow you to specify an exact width but it will always scale to the container width. If you want to shrink it you can use the columns (1/2, 2/3, 1/5, 1/4, 3/4, etc.) to give the slider a smaller size. A specific width wouldn’t make much sense because the layout is fluid anyway and there’s no “default” screen size. The thumbnail size options help you to select the right thumbnail size for your slider. If you add the slideshow into a 1/5 column you don’t need to select the full size image but you can select a smaller thumbnail size. This option helps you to reduce the file size of the images and in return you’ll get better loading times.
2) The textblock editor uses thedefault wordpress editor. Maybe you need to click the “kitchen sink” button: http://www.clipular.com/c/4918646761586688.png?k=0qAzSnSDcq_1sIq10SZZmxg1WSQ to show/hide additional options.
