    I just updated my site to WP 4.0 and got this problem. The layout builder keeps “loading” when I try to edit my pages.

    I tried updating the theme to the most recent version, but this did not solve the problem.

    Is this a known error and is there a fix?

    Hello,

    Have you tried disabling all third-party plugins to see if it gets fixed?

    Yes, I have tried this.

    I now tried to use my MacBook and found that it was working. So I tested a few things.

    Chrome on MacBook works.
    Safari on MacBook works.
    Chrome on Windows 8.1 does NOT work.
    Firefox on Windows 8.1 works.

    So perhaps, your theme does no longer work with Chrome on Windows?

    Is that something that you will fix in a future update?

    I see that others have had the problem as well – maybe their problem can be fixed by changing browser as well :)

    I now tried Chrome on Windows at another PC and it worked.

    So it’s not just a browser problem.

    Might be a plugin on Chrome or something I guess. Anyways, hope my findings helps somehow :)

    Hey!

    I think it’s more of a particular issue, if the theme wouldn’t work on Chrome/Windows we would be getting a thousand topics a day. There a lot of a factors that could influence this behavior like extensions, proxies blockages, system configurations, etc.
