Hello – My first blog post went out today to the subscribers that were just transferred from WP.com. Yay! Progress.

I checked on 3 different kinds of devices, however, and the email is filled with lines of shortcode, where I had used it to make Special Headings.

    Actual blog post: http://dominiquehurley.com/life-by-design-embrace-your-weirdness/

My goal was to make subtitles that are bigger than the text. I’m using the Default Editor to write my blog posts because I’ll often be using the tiled gallery / jetpack plugin that corrected the issue with my imported posts..

Are shortcodes only for Pages, not blog posts that get emailed? Is there another way to put Headers without building blog pages from scratch with the Advanced Editor?

    Thank you.

Hi – not sure if this one got lost as it’s been 5 days. Replying to myself to bring it forward again. Thanks.

My research into another issue led to my contacting Jetpack and it turns out that this is a known issue that they’re working on. It has nothing to do with Enfold, but with their mail subscription to blog function. Any shortcode that isn’t used by WP.com will show up in emails as code.

I’ve switched my blog emails to summary, so that they only see an excerpt , and I’ll try not to use any shortcode headings in the first part.

Is there any other way to make headers, etc. in Enfold’s default editor apart from Shortcodes?
    Thanks.

    Hey!

You could copy the HTML by right clicking your page -> View source and then paste that inside a codeblock element in your page.

Could you explain that a bit more Elliott or provide screen shots. I’m not sure what you mean, but would love to know . Thanks.

    Hey!

Well it’s kind of difficult for someone who is not used to coding. You could try installing the Firefox browser and then install Firebug, http://getfirebug.com/. You can then right click on the element and select “Inspect element”. It will then display a popup with a bunch of code with a blue area highlighting the elements code. You could then copy that and place it inside a codeblock element in your page. It might be best to hire a freelancer to help you out though.

    Cheers!

Thanks Elliot. Yes, that won’t be one for me to tackle at this level of techy-ness. Resolved.
