    When I add a link to normal text in Flashlight I get a color change and an underline + color change on mouse-over to indicate the link. But when I add a link to a heading that’s styled with <h1> for example I get no change on mouse over. How can I achieve the same behavior as on normal text?

    Hi graphicsplus!

    Please add following code to Quick CSS in Flashlight theme options under Styling tab

    a:hover, .widget .news-link:hover, #top .main_menu .menu a:hover strong {
    color: inherit!important;
    }
    a:hover {
    text-decoration: inherit;
    }

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi!

    Please flush browser cache and review your website now.

    P.S.: I found this code in Quick CSS field and removed it. It should not be there. It should go to Functions.php file inside Appearance > Editor

    add_action('wp_head','hook_google_font');
    function hook_google_font()
    {
    $output="<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Oswald' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>";
    echo $output;
    }

    Yigit

    Hey Yigit,
    Thanks for pointing that out. I git that code from your colleague Ismael and put it in the wrong place.

    But now things seem to be going very wrong! My Editor is missing! I know it was there before, but it is no longer in the WP dashboard. Even when I deactivate all my plugins it doesn’t appear. What could be wrong??

    Also all of a sudden ALL my body text is BOLD! Could you please check what’s going on?

    Hey!

    Thank you for the update.

    Yes, I can’t see the editor now. Maybe, you added the code on the wrong place. Please edit functions.php via FTP then place the code on pastebin.com. We would like to check it. On another topic, I changed your blog title: http://www.hetkoordenbosch.nl/blog/

    Regards,
    Ismael

    Hi!

    Can you post the link to your page where text is bold? I have checked your pages but they are not in bold – http://i.imgur.com/6YRNf5c.png
    Which browser and OS are you using?

    Cheers!

    Hey Yigit,

    The problem seems to have resolved itself. I’m using Mac OS and Safari (both up to date) but the problem was also on my iPad so it looks like a server side problem. However now everything is ok again. So sorry for the panic.

    The site is live now and I’m getting loads of compliments! So thanks for all your help. You’ve got another satisfied customer.

    There is still one small detail though. Links with <h3> still don’t change color. Check out the test page you made

    http://www.hetkoordenbosch.nl/test-page/

    I’ve put the heading ‘TESTLINK’ on it and it stays black on a mouse-over unlike the link you put on it.

    Thanks!
    Jan

    Hi!

    Glad we could help Jan, we are happy to know that you are receiving compliments :)
    The page you linked cannot be found but please try adding following code to Quick CSS and adjust it as needed

    h3 a:hover { color: red!important; }

    Yigit

    Hi Yigit,

    You gave me this code for this problem before:

    a:hover, .widget .news-link:hover, #top .main_menu .menu a:hover strong {
    color: inherit!important;
    }
    a:hover {
    text-decoration: inherit;
    }

    I’ve now take that out and replaced it with your new suggestion. It still doesn’t do anything though.

    The page

    http://www.hetkoordenbosch.nl/test-page/

    was set to private so you would have to be logged in for it. I’ve now changed it to public so please take a look. I could like the <h3> link to behave the same as the normal link that is above it.

    Hi!

    You are using Cufon on heading elements, unfortunately custom CSS codes will not apply on them. You can disable it in Flashlight theme options > Styling > Heading Font = No custom font

    Yigit
