Linking Text in the Footer Socket

   I have removed the social bookmarks from the socket and put custom text in the footer.php file where the social bookmark code was. Now I am unable to link the text to an external site for some reason. Any ideas?

   Hey,
   I'm not sure what the problem is exactly. The links don't work at all? Or do you want to to open the links in a new window? Can you post a link please - maybe it helps to make things clearer.
