Linking to "external resource" doesn't work in single posts

Hello, I'm building a website with Wordpress 3.0.1 and Expose.

I'm trying to link the big feature image, on each single post, to an external website.

The "external link" custom field is filled with the external url.
In the box called "Post thumbnail options" under "Image link" the option "Open external resource" is selected.

However, when clicking on the featured image, I always get the larger version opened in the lightbox.
Even if I select "No link at all" I keep getting the bigger version opened in the lightbox...

Could you please tell me how to fix it?

This is one of the most important features in the theme and it's not working. Anybody came up with a solution?

we released an update for Expose (and nearly all other themes) around two weeks ago. You can download it @themeforest.net for free.

I only downloaded yesterday so I assumed I was getting the most up to date - this feature still not working for me.

I downloaded the file again today, so I have the latest version.

After 8 months the bug is still not fixed!

What's the point in having a support forum if nobody care to fix the bugs?

I'd like to buy BrightBox and Upscale too, but I don't want to lose my money again... is there a way to know if this bug has been fixed at least in the newest themes?

Hey,
yes external linking works with Upscale or Broadscope - we hadn't any bug reports yet. Both themes use a new framework.
Sorry to hear that the external link bug persists. I thought that Kriesi fixed it in the latest update. I'll test it and report it to Kriesi.
