… and the .po files help with???? … :-(
(Sorry if it’s a stupid question, I am still learning my way around here. ;-) and wondering if this is something that everybody should implement in their own site.)
If you want to translate your theme (i.e. from English to German) you can use po and mo files to translate the text strings. If you want to use the English version of the theme the po/mo files won’t effect you in any way.
Oh! I was googling it and getting all kind of translation stuff, but wasn’t sure if they were talking about actual languages.
Ideally my site should also be available in Spanish. For right now I only have a dedicated page with a brief description of services in Spanish.
Will have to investigate a little bit more on this po/mo stuff to implement the file you included above (which I have no idea where to place the file to begin with! One of these days I’ll be smarter!… :-(
I wrote a short tutorial here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/broadscope-translation-files – however use the po file I posted here for CleanCut.
