Hi – is there a way to display the logged in user name or ID in either the “Propulsion Submenu” or next to the shopping cart in the top bar? An alternative might be to display the User ID in the cart info when you hover over “Cart” in the top bar.
Thanks in advance for your help.
This is not possible without some custom code but you can try a login widget from here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=login+widget
Thanks for the reply. I have already looked at many of the login widgits and found they’re not what I’m looking for. I’ve also found that the “WooCommerce Login” widget displays the logged in user in its title bar as long as I have a page with a sidebar in it. I was hoping to avoid the sidebar display on all pages (some pages need to be full width) and still give the user a clue that they’re logged in.
You mention custom code – is it complex and where would I put it? In other words do I put the custom code in a Propulsion file, in which case I can use a child theme or is it a base WordPress file?
You can put the code on your header.php. This link might get you started. http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_loginout
You can also look for some reference about wp_register.
