    Hi,

I just updated the logo on an existing site (www.risqueseattle.com) and for some reason it shows up if I refresh the browser as soon as it is uploaded, but if I go back to the site in a different browser (firefox, Chrome) or quit the browser I’m in and go back to the site, the logo is gone. It was working fine until I updated the logo. Can you tell me what’s up?

    Thanks!

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

My guess is that the chmod permissions on that file in your wordpress uploads folder are somehow incorrect. If you try and view the image alone it pulls up a 404 error: http://www.risqueseattle.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/banner4.png

If you need assistance in change the wp-content>uploads folder and that specific file to something more like 755 permissions contact your hosting provider and they will be able to walk you through the best way to do it.

    Regards,

    Devin

    Hi Devin,

That’s interesting. It’s not linking because there is no banner4.png. It’s supposed to be linking to main_banner2.png. So basically, no matter what file I upload for the logo using the admin, it still wants to link to banner4.png. I’ve worked around it for now by uploading the file I want to use and calling it banner4.png.

    Thanks!

    Chris

    Hey!

Please try to remove the logo (don’t upload a new logo) and then save the settings and reload the option page. Then upload the new logo.

    Regards,

    Peter
