    Hello, I have the following website http://www.scs.illinois.edu/tanyeri . I have three problems:

    1) I customized the logo and the menu. It looks good in Firefox 4 and Chrome, however the logo and the menu goes under the slider in IE9. I looked at the other posts and tried to come up with a solution, but couldn’t find one. I tried to change the height of the header, but did not help.

    2) The Lightbox does not seem to work with Chrome.

    3) I want to reduce the height of the banners below the menu. (the Additional Headline banner)

    Help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Problem # 1 is somehow resolved. I restarted the browsers, and suddenly the logo and the menu looks good in IE9.

    I still need to resolve the last two problems.

    Thanks.

    Hey,

    1.) Glad you got this resolved!

    2.) I can’t reproduce this problem, is this on Windows / Mac? Try disabling any / all addons to remove the possibility of a conflict or try on another computer to see if this is a common bug.

    3.) The code controlling the Additional Headline banner can be found in style.css around line 498:

    .wrapper_heading {
    min-height: 50px;
    padding: 29px 0 37px;
    }

    The min-height does what is says on the tin, it makes sure the minimum height is 50px in addition to the 29px of top padding and the 37px of bottom padding. Reducing the padding will reduce the height, I wouldn’t recommend adjusting the min-height as IE treats this as height in some versions which will potentially cause problems.

    Hope this helps!

    Regarding Problem 2: I tried it on another computer and it worked. It looks like there is a problem with my laptop. I looked at add-ons. I disabled one (real player). It did not help. I looked at other websites which utilizes lightbox and the images were opened successfully in Chrome using Lightbox. Any ideas what the issue might be? (I am using Windows 7 and Chrome 11.0.696.68)

    Regarding Problem 3: Your suggested solution reduced the banner height in IE, but not in Firefox or Chrome. Any ideas to make this a general solution for all three?

    I have an additional question: How can I make the text centered on the black transparent boxes that appear when you hover the mouse over the thumbnail images of the Aviaslider (below the thumbnail images below the slider images).

    Thanks.

    It’s quite weird, Problem # 3 is solved somehow. The banners are smaller on all three browsers. It looks like it needs some incubation time :)

    I am still left out with Problem # 2. Just to give an example to Problem 2, I visited the prettyPhoto website using Chrome and was able to open the images in Lightbox successfully.

    I also wonder how to address my additional question.

    Thanks.

    Hello again,

    Problem 1, solved

    Problem 2, solved (again, I restarted my laptop and everything started working in Chrome. (sorry to bother you)

    I still wonder about how to center the text on the black transparent boxes that appear when you hover the mouse over the thumbnail images of the Aviaslider (below the thumbnail images below the slider images).

    Thanks.

    Hey,

    add following code to the very bottom of style.css:

    #top .slideThumbTitle {
    text-align: center !important;
    }

    I added ‘ text-align: center” to the code section with “#top .slideThumbTitle” and it worked.

    Thanks.
