    Hi, I’ve Just tested my site in IE8 and for some reason my logo on the nav menu appears way too big and centered. Also the text on my drop down menu doesn’t show? Any suggestions… Many thanks Andy

    Hi andynick,

    There is a little hack in there to fix IE’s need for defined width which is causing an issue for you since the logo is smaller than what is expected. Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

    #top.MSIE8 .logo img{
    width:99px;
    height:100
    }

    Regards,

    Devin

    Thanks Devin, thats sorted the logo issue out but IE still isn’t showing the text in the dropdown menu, under “MY STORY” for some reason. Any ideas…?

    Cheers Andy

    Hi,

    Please take a look at this faq for cufon menu problems on IE8 from the developer –> (FAQ # 9) https://github.com/sorccu/cufon/wiki/FAQ

    Thanks,

    Hi

    I’m afraid none of that makes any sense at all to me, is there not just some css I can add as surely someone else has come across this problem?

    Regards

    Hi Andy,

    Please look at the demo http://www.kriesi.at/themes/flashlight/. For me the cufon on the sub-menu works fine in IE8, so the problem is not with the theme.

    You are probably using a plugin or other customization that is doing something (as the link I provided states) ‘before cufon had a chance to do what it does’.

    If you want to get to the bottom of this and isolate the reason for this behavior in IE8, you would need to setup a subdomain or a testing environment on your desktop. Install the theme and after seeing that the sub-menus work correctly, to begin adding your customization, one at a time until you discover the one causing the issue and then find a workaround for the plugin or customization that causes the cufon problem in IE8.

    Thanks,

    Nick
