On my site when a user goes to logout it comes up with a WordPress page which says
“WordPress Failure Notice” in the title and has the text “You are attempting to log out of [site name] Do you really want to log out?”
I have read here that it is an issue with the theme not using wp_logout_url yet
Here is the link to the thread http://wordpress.org/support/topic/you-are-attempting-to-log-out-of
Can you confirm where I can change this code in the theme?May 5, 2011 at 9:46 am #45187
Can you post an example of the link which is generating this page? Also, which page are you clicking logout from?
Without a login I can’t see the error correctly, but the link would be useful to see if a nonce (WP function to include a random number used once) is included as you can’t logout without it.

Thanks for the reply James. It first of all goes to
http://www.resave.co.uk/wp-login.php?action=logout (which has the heading “wordpress failure notice” and the text I listed above).
which then has a link to
If you want to see it, you can go to http://www.resave.co.uk and quickly set up a free accountMay 7, 2011 at 8:49 am #45190
I’ve set up an account on your site and see the problem. By the looks of it, the logout link is hardcoded to the header so doesn’t include the WordPress required nonce which is used to double check you really want to logout (or do any other action such as save a post). This explains the second logout confirmation screen.
You can adjust the logout link to use the WordPress function to fix this problem, it should look similar to this:
<a href="<?php echo wp_logout_url(); ?>" title="Logout">Logout</a>
Hope this helps!

Hi James. I bough Propulsion.
I never have this problem before with any theme
NOW each time I click on LOGOUT it adds to the normal link, a REDIRECT that is incorrect -as I have the site installed in a FOLDER inside the domain.
So for example:
Normal logout link:
but actual logout link that PROPULSION generates is:
so i get a 404 error when loggin out.
BUT hey, I found a solution.
The problem is bbpress plugin that I installed because Propulsion need it installed.
So now, what should I do ?
Talk with PROPULSION developer ?
Talk with bbpress developer ?
Or how can I fix this ?

1) Propulsion doesn’t require bbpress. You can deactivate it if you don’t want to use it for forums.
