Tagged: response time
I’ve been experiencing long response times to the server and I can’t figure out what is causing it. I’m on a shared server, so I suspect that could be one of the factors. I’ve played around with settings on the W3 Total Cache plugin, but without any bigger success.
I’m using the latest version of Abundance theme with WordPress 3.3.2 and WooCommerce 1.5.8 (haven’t updated them the latest version yet). I also have the latest version of WPML 2.6.0. Is it possible that any of these plugins could cause this long response time? I’ve tried deactivating all plugins except these core plugins without any results either.
I’ve measured the response time to between 3.5 and 5 seconds, but sometimes I’ve experienced it a lot longer. Does anyone have any suggestions what I could try to improve this?
First update WordPress as Woocommerce and the theme are designed to work with 3.4+ and I don’t know what might be happening with previous versions.
The server could be the big issue as well but its so hard to say as there are a lot of factors that make up page speed with wordpress.
